Make hard-working windows work better
Solar Reflections installs window film for homes, offices, storefronts, and commercial properties. We match the film to the glass, space, and performance goal.
- Residential heat and glare reduction
- Daytime privacy film options
- UV protection to help reduce fading
- Commercial storefront and office film
- On-site evaluation and quoting
Choose film around how the room is used
Tell us which rooms get hot, where glare affects a screen, and whether privacy is needed during the day, at night, or both. Film choice balances comfort, natural light, appearance, and the view out. We assess the glass before recommending an interior or exterior application.
Building owners and commercial projects
Offices and facilities may need more than solar tint. Explore our dedicated commercial window film page for decorative privacy, safety and security, bird-deterrent, and screen-cloaking options, including suitability checks and quote requirements.
Questions customers ask
Does residential window film reduce heat?
A compatible solar-control film can reduce solar heat entering through your windows. Its effect depends on the film, glass, window orientation, shade, and room. We review those factors before recommending a product; a fixed energy-savings percentage is not promised.
Does residential film block UV?
Many architectural films reduce UV transmission through treated glass. Ask for the selected product’s specifications; performance varies and untreated openings remain unaffected.
Can window film reduce fading?
Film can help reduce fading by managing UV and, depending on the product, heat and visible light. Fading has multiple causes, so film cannot stop all fading or restore existing damage.
Does privacy film provide privacy at night?
Reflective daytime privacy depends on the outside being brighter than the inside. When indoor lights are on after dark, that effect can reverse. Frosted or opaque films obscure the view regardless of that lighting balance, but also change your view out. Curtains or blinds may still be needed.
Can window film reduce glare?
Glare-reduction film can make bright windows more comfortable near TVs, desks, and seating. We discuss the balance between glare control, daylight, and appearance before selecting a shade.
Can film be installed on existing windows?
Often, yes, when the product is compatible with the glass. We check glass type, coatings, condition, and manufacturer restrictions. Some insulated or low-E windows need particular films; compatibility and warranty terms must be reviewed first.
